Unzip the Onpub download. Transfer the resulting onpub folder to your web server's public HTML directory. On Windows this is usually C:\inetpub\wwwroot by default. On Linux the default is /var/www (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.) or /var/www/html (Red Hat, CentOS, Fedora, etc.).
Onpub requires that you have a MySQL account and database.
Your MySQL account should be configured to have full read/write access to the database that will contain the Onpub tables. The recommended encoding for the Onpub database is latin1_general_ci.
The first time you successfully log in to Onpub, you are greeted with the Welcome screen.
Be sure to click the Install missing tables link to install the Onpub tables in the connected MySQL database.
Once the Onpub tables are successfully installed, you are ready to start creating content with Onpub.
